Penguin specialises in the design, construction, operation, repair and refit of high-speed aluminium vessels, including:

Our key market segments are: Offshore oil and gas, offshore wind, tourism and government (including naval defence). We build standardised vessels to stock and customised vessels to order.

Since 1996, Penguin has delivered close to 400 aluminium commercial vessels to ship owners in more than 20 countries. These include our flagship FLEX-40 and FLEX-42 Series of stock multi-role crewboats, as well as our FLEX FIGHTER Series of stock armoured security vessels.

Our shipbuilding facilities feature large fabrication workshops with dual overhead cranes, fully concreted grounds and marine travelifts (250-700 MT). In Singapore, our shipyard is 80%-powered by solar energy and includes a new 399-man waterfront dormitory.

Backed by modern infrastructure, an experienced workforce and a strong balance sheet, Penguin is able to consistently deliver aluminium newbuilds competitively and rapidly.

For example, our standardised crewboats and armoured security vessels – which are produced through our internally funded build-for-stock programme – are completed within just nine months from keel laying to commissioning, compared to the typical 12 to 14 months required by other shipyards. And drawing on real-time feedback from our clients and our own fleet operations team, we are constantly improving our design, specifications and layout.

Today, Penguin is the world’s largest builder of IMO-registered aluminium commercial vessels — including oil and gas crewboats and security vessels — according to S&P Global Sea-web.
